Adult groups
Encouragement, prayer and fellowship at every stage of life.
Ministering to God's people through Pakefield Church has many dimensions. For adults there are many ways that new people to the area, or those exploring the Christian faith, can receive encouragement, prayer and fellowship with others. There are groups that serve people at different stages of life or in different circumstances — we hope some of these are for you.
Home Groups
We have 5 home groups, meeting on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, mornings or evenings, to read and study the Bible, draw closer to Jesus, pray for one another and the needs of the world, and have some fun. A few are looking for new people. Speak to Revd Sharon on 01502 516800.
Mothers' Union
Meets 2:00–3:30pm in the Church Hall on the third Thursday of each month. A friendly group (men may also join) who also host and lead the Living for Life course as part of our marriage preparation.
Pakefield Patchers
Women who enjoy patchwork, quilting, sewing and knitting. Every Thursday, 9:30am to 12:00 in the Church Hall — £2.00 a session including tea or coffee. All are welcome, as long as you like chatting!
Pakefield Wives
A friendly group with talks and fellowship — recent speakers have included Suffolk Police on cyber security. Contact the Parish Office for meeting details.
Pakefield Bowls Club
A friendly, sociable group of all ages meeting in the Church Hall on Fridays from 1:00pm.
New Wine
A group for young women and the young at heart, meeting on the first Friday evening of the month at 7:30pm. Contact the Parish Office.
Bell Ringers
We have 6 regular ringers, and ring for weddings and before the 10:30am service each Sunday. Visiting ringers are welcome. If you'd like to learn, pop along on a Sunday morning at 10am, or contact Revd Sharon Lord on 01502 516800.
Hildesley Court
Hildesley Court is a local sheltered housing scheme with flats and bedsits for the over-60s. A group from our congregation visits once a month on a Monday morning and leads a short service (usually Holy Communion) for and with the residents.
