Sunday 9th October was our Harvest Festival and Parade Service with members of our Uniformed groups taking part in the service as well as a visit from Scuffy who Bob explained to how Jesus fed over 5,000 people with just 5 loaves and 2 fishes.
The church was decorated with lots of beautiful
flowers and harvest gifts and lots of Harvest hymns were sung, including one on a DVD which we sang along with.
Later in the service lots of other groceries, fruit and vegetables were brought to the front of the church which were then later taken to Food Banks in Lowestoft for distribution to those in need.
With Bob telling us how in many third world countries, just a little seed can be the only thing that goes into a very thin soup for a family of 4 or 5 people to survive on each day, we were all made very much aware of how much we have to be thankful in our own lives and the important work being done by Tear Fund.
