Saturday 10th December was a grey, miserable rainy day – but that was outside! Inside our church hall it was buzzing with people at our Christmas Fayre.
There were stalls selling lovely scarves, jewellery and handbags ‘high-class bric a brac’, crafts, and a ‘mystery’ stall where for only £1.00 you could buy a gift, ready wrapped, and get a lovely surprise on opening it!
Di Lammas was busy walking around all afternoon getting folk to guess the weight of the lovely Christmas cake she had made, and in the photos below two ladies running the Craft stall have a go!
The cake stalled run by Mothers’ Union did a brisk trade selling delicious cakes, scones, jams and other goodies to take home for tea, and the Wives group kept everyone full with their teas, coffees and cakes.
For those wanting to take-a-chance, the huge raffle was a great success as was the bottle stall.
Games for all the family, showing both skill and fun were also enjoyed.
And after all was cleared away, with happy customers clutching their bargains, and stall holders and helpers tired but content with the day, the amazing amount of over £1400 was raised for church funds!
